Creations

Natural and recycled raw materials – the works on display in the Eco Art Gallery were created from these.

Bicycle Parts (2)

Iron horse reborn Commuting by bicycle – this is already an eco-friendly solution. But cyclists are (also) obsessed. Not only is this an environmentally conscious mean of transportation, it is a movement, and sport an integral part of their lives. Their bikes are also close to their hearts. And if a part needs to be replaced, all is not lost. Worn-out parts and bicycle tires (outer and inner) can be reborn in a surprisingly wide range of forms.

Computer motherboard (2)

Old board-new style The printed circuits of a computer connect the various electronic components and play a fundamental role in the operation of computers. They are built on a base made of insulating material, on which metal (usually copper) traces can be found. These traces conduct electricity between the components. However, the printed circuits connecting the processor, memory, storage devices and peripherals on the computer motherboard also become waste when the machine or component becomes obsolete or unnecessary. However, the beauty of the pattern remains, as our creators have seen and are presenting with creative use.

Concrete (1)

Hard material, fine art Concrete – cement, gravel and water, a durable, reliable and robust material, but with a solid aesthetic, which is common in the construction industry. But there is a similarly durable but finely crafted version developed for making jewelry and decorative objects: jewelry concrete, which is dry concrete with small grain size.

Cutlery (6)

From the table to the gallery The base material for our creations is cutlery made of easily bendable metal. It can be silver, alpaca, but mainly stainless steel. If the set is incomplete, worn out, or if you find a few pieces that were left over from your grandparents, our creators transform them into valuable and useful objects. Spoons, forks, and knives continue to be a part of our everyday lives in the form of jewelry, sculptures, or coat hangers.

Glass (1)

No thin excuse - reuse Sand, soda, sodium sulfate, limestone, dolomite, boric acid - the raw materials of glass cutting. It is made from natural materials, and is easily and completely recyclable. Don't treat it as garbage, reuse it! Our creators do the same: they bring back the redundant pieces of thousands of years of glassmaking tradition as jewelry, decorative elements, and works of art.

Grass, wood, flowers (8)

Naturally natural Wood has been used as a natural raw material since ancient times. By burning it, we produce light and heat, and it serves as the raw material for tools, furniture, buildings, and works of art. Our creators bring waste or driftwood to new life, and they also create amazing creations from twigs. Dried plants are also brought back to life – the wonders of nature can shine again in environmentally friendly eco-resin.

Horsehair (2)

Tradition in every piece The hairs from the mane and tail of horses are strong, flexible and elastic, and light thanks to their hollow structure. These properties, as well as the fact that they have been an easily accessible material since the domestication of horses have inspired its wide use. It is used to make rope, sieves, and brushes, but it is also used to stuff mattresses, pillows, or to make clothing and tows. A beautiful, elegant natural material. The special value of our folk art is the finely crafted, diversely patterned horsehair jewelry.

Metal, scrap metal (28)

Waste escapees A raw material that has a market as it is. But it also has many creative uses. Many types are brought back to life by the hands of our creators - be it iron, copper or steel. Screws, metal parts, gas cylinder bodies, horseshoes, horseshoe nails, tools, cartridge cases, wire and nails are transformed into works of art, musical instruments or useful home furnishings by the work of skilled hands

Paper (2)

Every sheet is an opportunity The base material is wood or other plant fibers, or in the best case, cellulose from paper recycling. The paperless transition has started in several areas of everyday life, yet globally, several hundred million tons, and nationally, several hundred thousand tons of paper waste are generated annually. Our creators see countless possibilities in paper, they can transform it into a bag, jewelry, or even part of a flower garden.

Stones (2)

Timeless beauty Stones and pebbles - durable and timeless materials known since ancient times. Its beauty stems from the intertwining of nature, art, and feelings. Its processing is long, hard work for both man and nature. It can be used alone or in combination with metal, wood, and other natural materials as a raw material for our creators.

Synthetic materials (4)

Reused, reimagined Their primary use is justified by their special properties. However, as waste, they pose one of the biggest problems. What should be the fate of used, worn, discarded PET bottles, seat belts, fire hoses, tent sheets, windmills, climbing ropes? Without proper treatment, they can remain in the environment for centuries, polluting and endangering it. The good news is that all of the above can be used as eco art materials, as the pieces in our gallery and shop clearly demonstrate.

Textiles (3)

Stylish renewal Natural, artificial and mixed fiber textiles become unnecessary in households and in industry. There are many techniques for their recycling and processing, which as a result return to our everyday lives in various forms. Renewed textiles born in the spirit of sustainability can be used as insulation materials, clothing materials, artificial grafting or even fashion items.
