My name is Csilla Írisz Kövesdi. I’ve been making jewelry since 2016. My original profession was a goldsmith, but I also worked in a jewelry store, so I experienced both sides. I didn’t want to go back to a multinational company when my first baby was born. Furthermore I could only go back to mass production in the goldsmith profession. That’s why I started making and repairing jewelry.
I had a lot of jewelry and often got bored them. I took these necklaces and earrings apart and put them back together, which is how the re-jewelry was born. In addition, I saw that there is a great demand for repairing jewelry. Changes in the world have also pushed us towards not throwing things away, but rather recycling things. It was not difficult to think this way because this attitude has been a part of my life.
There are many pieces of jewelry that are old-fashioned or imperfect, and that’s why people don’t want to wear them anymore. I take them apart, put them back together and they get a slightly more modern shape. I also do this with fashion jewelry. Sometimes a necklace becomes earrings or vice versa. I also work with other things, I have even made earrings from sunglasses.
I also make my own jewelry, with which I react to things in the world. I can express what I think about the world in jewelry making. I have already made a collection of Queens, but I had a collection that I added love quotes to.
Last year I worked on wooden jewelry. My parents cut down a willow tree in the garden, and when I saw it, I couldn’t resist. I sat down and started working on the wood. I spent hours peeling and cutting the branches. Then I dried the wood in the sun. After that, I read to the willow what kind of tree it is and that’s how the spiritual background came into it. I was immediately inspired by wood and this is how the jewelry was made.
Wooden jewelry also reacts to changes in the world: we need to return to natural things and pay attention to our environment.
hen I started dealing with Thetahealing medicine. Thetahealing taught me to be in tune with myself, and as a result, I started filling my jewelry with information. All my jewelry received downloads of love:
“I know what it feels like to be loved.”
“I know how to love others.”
I know a lot of techniques and I myself have an eclectic style, so my jewelry is made in many different styles. I am not a devoted follower of modern yew fashions or any other style. This freedom allows me to adapt to the world and always show what is being reflected.
