I am János Kun, from Dunaföldvár.
I make various works of art from metal and scrap metal. The raw material, – different steel alloysl and aluminum – is at hand to create my works because I have a locksmith workshop in Dunaföldvár, where we manufacture steel structures. My father is also a locksmith, so I spent a lot of time in his workshop as a child, and I started to get acquainted with the processing of metals at an early age. I have always loved being creative, which is also essential for practicing my profession.
The combination of these two things led me to create smaller and larger “sculptures”, works of art, as gifts for friends and relatives, when my time allows. I came into contact with the manager of Eco Art Gallery, Tamás Székelyhidi, through an acquaintance. This gave me the opportunity to present my works to a larger audience.
