József Menyhárt

I am József Menyhárt (47) living in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, in the village of Tiszadob.

My passion for art began very early, at the age of 14-15. When I was young, I would modify motorcycles according to my own ideas. Somehow, for me they were never good enough as the manufacturer had released them, I always found something on them that cried out for improvement. I loved playing with colors and shapes. Later, as a high school student, I was able to gain even greater insight into the world of metalworking, as I graduated from a plumbing and welding school. During my work, I often encountered obstacles and I needed creativity and spatial vision to overcome these. Over the years, my technique has developed, and a little sense of beauty and harmony has been added to it. In my opinion, my products reflect this.

Harmony. Contrast. Emotions.

In my opinion, the combination of metal and wood can work very well, especially in such a demanding design. My basic materials: scrap metal, horseshoes, bearings and driftwood. The production process begins with cutting, bending and welding the metal elements. This is followed by painting, cutting the wooden base to size, sanding, burning and stretching it. The next step is assembly and finally varnishing. Every step of the creation requires a lot of attention, but every moment of it will calm you down, inspire and motivate you.

If you have a unique idea, please do not hesitate to contact me or the gallery.

I am glad if you like one of my works.

Thank you for your attention!
