Judit Varjas

I am Judit Varjas, the founder of Varjas Art. After obtaining my profession as a decorative painter, I started making and then selling glass jewelry melted in the furnace. After that, I started making jewelry from old alpaca cutlery. Spoons and forks that were lying in attics and deep in drawers, waiting to be thrown away, transformed into jewelry, wind chimes, or coat hangers in my hands. During my college and then university years, I offered my wares at countless fairs, expos, and markets, both within and outside our borders, and I also worked on decorative painting. After completing my studies, I painted the Tapolca Fish Stairs street art, which quickly became internationally known. After that, I started creating decorative walls. Countless domestic service providers, public and private buildings, and hotels all over Europe now bear the mark of my hands.

In 2022, I dreamed up a new image for the Tapolca Fish Staircase and painted another colorful street art piece next to it.

In 2023 and 2024, I painted two giant eggs for my hometown, Tapolca, which attracted thousands to our small town.
