I am László Kátai, I live and work in Borsod County.
Many years ago, I saw a sculpture in a shop window in Germany, made of screws, mothers and similar materials. In my work I have encountered all the processes of iron working and I like to shape the material. It’s been twenty years since I tried to make a sculpture from iron parts in my garage as a hobby. I love a challenge, so I came up with ideas of what life situations and moments I could sculpt. There were musicians, sportsmen, sculptures of one or another profession or hobby. First as a hobby, then as a sideline, now my business is based on this activity. Over the years the business has grown enormously and my technique is constantly being refined.
I strive to offer products of excellent quality and at affordable prices. I guarantee that each piece is unique, as they are all handmade, by me alone. It is not the first time my sculptures are in Gödöllő. It was a great honour for me when in 2014 the National Waste Management Agency Nonprofit Ltd. chose me to be their to create the sculptures for the “Waste Management Award”.
My goal with this product is to make this art accessible and enjoyable for everyone. I want my works to bring a smile to the faces of everyone, be it women, men, young, old, groups of friends, collectives, families.
