Ursuslupus is a Hungarian upcycling brand that creates unique and functional objects from discarded materials. It was founded by Orsi Jeney in 2013 with the aim to raise awareness about the importance of environmental awareness and to show that waste can be valuable.
What is upcycling?
Upscycling is a creative process of turning materials that have become redundant – such as leaky mattresses, floating tires, tents, banners – into more valuable products. In the case of Ursuslupus, this means turning discarded materials into rain covers, bags, belt pouches, toiletries, jewellery or even home furnishings – depending on what the material will allow.
