“FROM SCRAP TO LUXURY FURNITURE – MY STORY”
Many people ask me how I came up with the idea of turning scrap into furniture – especially luxury furniture. The answer is simple: while others see metal waste, I see opportunity.
My story isn’t a typical entrepreneurial success tale. I simply wanted a motorblock table for myself. I couldn’t find one I liked – so I made it. That was my first piece. Then came the second one, which I built for someone else. And from that point, something started.
Today, I’ve been making these unique pieces for over 8 years – all by myself, by hand, paying close attention to even the smallest details. Sandblasting, polishing, painting, assembling – I’m involved in every step of the process. Each table takes countless work hours to complete, not to mention the travel, material sourcing, or the special custom solutions.
On my website I now offer premium category products, mainly for those who value unique design, handcrafted quality, and extraordinary stories.
Among my tables, you’ll find pieces based on V8, V12, and W12 engine blocks – each one carries its own mood and character. My goal has always been to create something you simply can’t buy elsewhere.
Over the years, I’ve sold more than a hundred tables – some of them have made their way abroad to Germany, Austria, and other countries. Meanwhile, I’m getting more and more interest here in Hungary as well.
Most of my customers aren’t looking for everyday furniture. They’re looking for a piece that tells a story, that holds meaning. Each table is a revived engine – once the heart of a car, now the centerpiece of a living room or office.
These pieces are more than just furniture: they’re memories, momentum, a way of life.
This is who I am. A mechanical craftsman who couldn’t stop creating. A man who doesn’t see an engine block as just a part – but as a possibility. And maybe – just a little – an artist too.
